Sustainable finance is a financial theory and practice that has been recognized globally. Despite the increasing research on the subject, there are open questions to which researchers and experts have not yet offered an unequivocal answer, and the questions themselves are becoming more complex due to the increasing global insecurity and uncertainty of the business and financial environment. The main purpose of the SUSTAINFIN project is to explore sustainable finance in conditions of high levels of uncertainty and ambiguity and to offer guidelines for its possible further development.
By applying a variety of methodological tools to primary and secondary data, insights will be offered on sustainable finance trends, the role and level of support from various stakeholders in sustainable finance, the development of a regulatory framework related to sustainable finance, the homogeneity/heterogeneity of sustainable finance practice, the justification of sustainable finance from a risk and return perspective, and the preferences of investors in financial services that support environmental, social and governance goals.
The project will raise awareness of the issue of sustainable finance through a variety of scientific, professional and related activities, and its results will ultimately contribute to open science and the popularization of science.
